Finally – a week off!
February 12, 2010It’s Reading Break – appropriately named because I won’t have time to do anything else! LOL but I don’t mind too much, it’ll be nice to have some time to relax, and study outside of a perfect schedule. I have all of next week off, then once I return to school I have 4 exams in a row – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It’s midterm time (I had one this morning), and everyone’s stress levels are through the roof. I just keep telling myself that these are small tests in the grand scheme of things, so I don’t stress out too much about them…
Jean is doing really well at his new job! He has worked there a week now, and has loved it! The guys he works with are great (one of them is actually in a class of mine!), and they are telling him that he is a great worker, that they trust him to do stuff on his own already. One guy even told him that he’s already at the level of work that others have been after one year of working there!!! I’m super proud of him!!! Jean’s duties are simple – he drives a forklift around, backs up trucks, mixes pails of building materials, and delivers the odd thing. It’s always varied, and he always works 9-5. Because of this, and his job being on the way to my school, we’re able to once again share a vehicle! This has saved us so much money – so on top of his getting a good job, we could save money! It’s been a good week, and we’re incredibly thankful for answered prayers
This weekend my parents are taking us out to dinner with them and my brother and his girlfriend. It should be fun! We’re going to Joey’s – they have a celiac menu for my mom, and delicious food!
Also, Jean’s membership is being transferred to Kelowna Church officially this weekend, he’s been looking forward to that. Finally, our memberships are in the same place. We’re still not sure what we’re doing when it comes to a church family – we really want to be part of a church family that is supportive and inclusive, so please keep us in your prayers.
In two weeks I’m taking a short trip to Vancouver to celebrate my sisters 19th birthday! It should be a fun weekend, and thankfully I’ll miss most of the Olympic hubbub.
Keep in touch!!!
